Son of Michel Baade ('farmer') of Diedrichshagen. Came to Bergen to work on the German Wharf under Hans Baade, possibly a cousin. Became a burgess on the 2nd of September, 1723. Buried in the Cathedral on the 24th of January, 1738. Married twice: first to Anne Cathrine Michelsdatter Garberg (1722), then to Engel Jansdatter Møller (1727).
