Chancellor's Counsellor and Law Judge (Cancelliråd og Lagmann); born in Trondheim on the 25th of June, 1689; died the 24th of November, 1748. He studied in Copenhagen at Borch's College from 1711 to 1715, defended four medical disputations, and pursued a career as the city's physician and as law judge. He married Anna Lorentzdatter Holst on the 10th of April, 1726. He died in straitened circumstances — a circumstance that, for a man of such attainments, one can only regard with a mild but pointed irony.
