Born the 19th of April, 1841, at Sundlo; died January 1909. He attended Rotvoll Agricultural School and subsequently worked as an agronomist at the Rotvoll and Eg asylums, and later as cashier at Gaustad. He contracted tuberculosis. His final scene on his deathbed, with his son Konrad, is recorded in the family notes.
